Tinker and Fiddle have joined with GTH Middle School to implement S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). They are currently doing their "Teach, Taste, Code" program with our 6th-grade students. "In this HTML/CSS web design program, our Foodies code their own "Farm to Table" website. Participants learn best practices for growing their own container gardens, complete healthy plant-based cooking practicums, and code a web-page to disseminate the content they curate. The curriculum includes Science and Math concepts with lessons on sustainability, ancestral farming practices, and climate change." The students have created teams and started business plans to sell tea! Check out their progress thus far:
